Services

We specialize in general and cosmetic dentistry for the entire family. Our hygienists perform oral exams, cleaning, relining, fillings, sealants, extractions, caps, crowns and bridges. We also perform endodontics (root canals). And because we believe prevention is a critical factor in oral health, we stress preventive dentistry and infection control by using fluoride and other preventive measures.

Following are some of the cosmetic dentistry services we offer. Please call us for more information on these or any of our dental services at 808-235-2121.

Rembrandt One-Hour Smile Whitening ProgramPower Light Bleaching - One of the most advanced types of in-office tooth bleaching procedures. A power light, the Rembrandt Sapphire Light used in Dr. Kujiroaka’s One-Hour Smile Whitening Center, can whiten an arch in 20 minutes, with a total bleaching time of less than an hour.

Uniform Whitening - The Rembrandt Sapphire Light can bleach all teeth at once or one tooth at a time, focusing on problem teeth, which results in a beautiful, uniformly white smile. Other in-office bleaching techniques bleach all the teeth at once, resulting in an uneven appearance.

Bleaching Relapse - Occasionally when teeth have been professionally bleached they can start to dull and stain, requiring a return visit to the dentist. A Rembrandt One-Hour Smile Whitening procedure performed by Dr. Kujiroaka helps ensure no bleaching relapse, because she provides specially-formulated Rembrandt Plus Toothpaste with Peroxide that maintains whiteness (and improves overall good oral health with the fluoride ingredient).

Veneers (or Laminates) - A kind of individual tooth "overlay" that improves the shape and look of teeth. Most veneers require drilling to remove tooth structure so the veneer can be put on. However, impossibly thin Rembrandt Laminates with Cerinate Porcelain require no tooth structure removal, which means no pain.

Tooth Bonding - Tooth bonding corrects minor defects in teeth, such as chipping, cracking, misalignment or discoloration. A plastic, putty-like resin is used to rebuild the teeth and make them look natural.

Cosmetic Contouring - Teeth are reshaped, with particular attention given to the edges of the upper and lower front six teeth, which can create a more beautiful smile.

Esthetic Partials - A small set of replacement porcelain teeth can be created to improve a smile.

Crowns - Crowns are applied when there is insufficient tooth structure left for veneers. With the development of newer, more advanced lab techniques and porcelains, such as Cerinate Porcelain, crowns fit well and look natural.

White Fillings - Also called "inlays" and "onlays," white fillings are more attractive than metal fillings and are long-lasting. Metal fillings can be replaced with white fillings one at a time, as they get older, or all at once. These fillings are actually glued into the tooth, a process that has been proven to protect against future tooth weakening and other problems.

Gingival Scaling - If one or more teeth are too long, exposing the root surface, gingival scaling or grafting can cover these roots.

Curing Light - A curing light is used in cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as veneers and bonding, to rapidly "cure" (or set/adhere) restorative materials to teeth.
